SPI HYDROCARBONS FILTERS

The SPI filter range is the most complete on the market, providing simple cartridges for small and medium-sized PETRO PIT or PETRO PIPE holding tanks, as well as solutions for large volumes pumped underground with the PETRO BARRIER and out of remote pits with the STORM BARRIER. These filters are effective for all types of hydrocarbons, dielectric oils, mineral oils and natural or synthetic esters.

PETRO-PIT®410 Hydrocarbon filter for drainage of small retentions
Designed for buckets and retention pits of small and medium-sized transformers, as well as SKID or power stations, this filter cartridge for rainwater contaminated with dielectric oils permanently traps hydrocarbons and prevents soil contamination, thanks to its self-locking system and its oleophilic and hydrophobic polymeric component.
PETRO-PIPE®PI616-FR3 Natural Ester Filter for Medium Retention Drainage
This screw-on cartridge is ideal for draining rainwater contaminated with natural esters, type MIDEL EN or FR3 COOPER in buckets and retention pits of medium-sized transformers, for permanent use. Its self-locking system traps harmful particles, preventing soil contamination and its oleophilic and hydrophobic component permanently traps natural esters.
PETRO-BARRIER® High Retention Drain Hydrocarbon Filter
Aimed at high capacity retentions, this filtration system is embedded in large buckets and transformer retention pits. Its self-locking capacity and its oleophilic and hydrophobic polymeric components ensure hydrocarbon retention.
STORM WATER PETRO-BARRIER® High Retention Drain Hydrocarbon Filter
Specially designed for large volumes of rainwater contaminated with dielectric oils in large retentions. This self-locking filtering system with polymer components guarantees the effective retention of hydrocarbons, avoiding soil contamination.
In the 1990s, SPI faced the innovative challenge of draining large volumes of water potentially contaminated by traces of dielectric oil without relying on electricity, ensuring complete safety. During this period, the company developed a unique filter cartridge technology capable of solidifying hydrocarbons. SPI filters, thanks to their oleophilic and hydrophobic components, perform three essential functions: evacuate rainwater, filter traces of hydrocarbons present in emulsion or diluted in water and, in emergency or saturation situations, solidify the internal components to avoid the release of contaminants from their containment.
